Anmol Kumar Singh, a native of Chhapra district in Bihar, faced significant challenges in preparing for the NEET UG exam. “The main issue was the lack of quality educational resources, which made it hard to prepare effectively for competitive exams,” he explained. Additionally, his father’s health problems and financial constraints further complicated his journey.
After failing in his first attempt, Anmol reappeared for the NEET UG 2024 and achieved a remarkable score of 675 marks. As the eldest son, he felt the weight of his family’s expectations and the pressure to improve their situation. “I often heard my father say, ‘Study hard, Anmol; give it your all.’ He always emphasized that education was the key to a better life, and his words ignited in me a strong desire to pursue an MBBS degree.”
“My motivation comes from a deep desire to make a meaningful impact on my community and improve healthcare access in Chhapra. Growing up in a small town with limited medical facilities, I saw firsthand the challenges people faced in getting quality healthcare. This experience sparked my passion to become a doctor and contribute to the medical field,” said the 18-year-old.
In his quest to clear NEET on his second attempt, Anmol received financial support from his uncle. “My father is a farmer and has faced significant financial challenges, making it hard for them to afford coaching expenses. Recognizing the importance of proper preparation for the NEET exam, my uncle stepped in to help,” shared the boy, who scored 96 percent in Class 12.
Describing his study routine, he mentioned that he would wake up at 6 a.m. each day. After attending coaching classes, he dedicated several hours to self-study, revising concepts, solving questions, and taking mock tests.
“I maintained a structured schedule, allocating specific time slots for each subject to ensure balanced preparation. In the evenings, I often revisited challenging topics and concentrated on areas where I needed improvement,” said the aspiring cardiologist.
He stated that this disciplined routine, combined with regular breaks, helped him stay focused and motivated throughout his NEET UG preparation journey.
